Crete has two large airports located in the two biggest cities of Crete, Heraklion (Nikos Kazantzakis airport) and Chania (Ioannis Daskalogiannis airport). One can arrive to the hotel by car (taxi or rental car) or bus.

In order to go (from Heraklion or Chania) to Rethymno by public transport, one has to take a city bus from the airport to the Main Bus station of the city and then take another bus from there to Rethymno.

The route: Airport to Aquila Rithymna Hotel

• By taxi: Nikos Kazantzakis Airport (Heraklion)--> Aquila Rithymna Hotel (duration 1h -1h 15min, cost: average cost 90 euros) (special offer if they call "Candia taxi")
• Ioannis Daskalogiannis Airport (Chania)--> Aquila Rithymna Hotel (duration 1h-1h 15min, average cost 95 euros) (special offer if they call "Hermes taxi")
• By bus: Airport-->city bus or taxi to Main Bus Station--> Rethymno Bus station--> city bus (bus number 20) or taxi to Aquila Rithymna Hotel.

From Heraklion Airport (Nikos Kazantzakis Airport) to Main Bus Station of Heraklion

• Option 1) Any city bus starting from the bus stop outside Nikos Kazantzakis Airport (except bus number 5). Buses run very often from 6.15 until 00.00 Ticket cost: 1.20 euros. Duration 10-15 min. Stop at Bus Station A.
• Option 2) Taxi from Nikos Kazantzakis Airport. Average cost: 10-13 euros.

From Chania Airport (Ioannis Daskalogiannis Airport) to Main Bus Station of Chania
Option 1) Bus that goes to Main Bus Station of Chania (there is only one that has a label "Chania"). It runs according to the following schedule:

From Bus Station of Rethymno to Aquila Rithymna Hotel
