SoCal BSM 2019 is the second of an annual set of one-day meetings for the Southern California particle theory community to
reconnect, collaborate, and coordinate. This meeting is hosted by UCLA Physics & Astronomy.
Due to limited space, this event is
invitation only.
We loosely base our meeting on the Southern California Strings Seminar and PIKIO. We will have talks from new faculty and postdocs/grad students.
- Re-connect with colleagues
- Highlight exciting research and junior physicists
- Initiate collaborative research
- Coordinate inter-campus initiatives
The workshop is intended to be accessible as a day trip. For those who would like to arrive early or stay an extra night, the UCLA Guesthouse and the Luskin Conference center may have vacancies. For more information contact those facilities directly (see Lodging below) or email patrice@physics.ucla.edu.
Parking is in Lot 2 (click here to see map). If you have a UC parking permit of any type, you may park directly in Lot 2. If you do not have a UC parking permit, please stop at the parking kiosk at Westholme and Hilgard to purchase your parking pass ($12 per day).
